Bingo kasuri is one of Japan's three major kasuri textiles, along with Kurume kasuri and Iyo kasuri. It has been produced in the area of Shintown in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture since the Edo period. It has a smooth touch compared to kasuri from other regions, and a soft texture unique to cotton, as if it contains a little air.
