Vintage Hand-Painted Noritake Plate – Bluebirds & Forget-Me-Nots, Morimura Bros. Era (c. 1918–1940s
Stunning vintage Noritake collector’s plate featuring delicate hand-painted bluebirds in flight and perched among blooming forget-me-not flowers.
The center design is set against a soft pearlized white ground, surrounded by a wide mint-green border with subtle luster and fine gold rim trim.
This piece is from the early Moritake (Morimura Bros.) period, identifiable by the rare “M” wreath backstamp in red with “Hand Painted / Made in Japan” — used from approximately 1918 to the 1940s.
• Condition: Very good antique condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Light surface scratches and minor gold rim wear consistent with age and gentle display use. One tiny factory glaze pop near the rim (shown in photos). Colors remain vibrant.
