You are looking at a very scarce, beautifully ornate Victorian Rococo styled Virginia Metalcrafters cast iron oval painted mirror with easel back. The original painted finish is age toned to a soft ivory color in excellent vintage condition with some minor edge chipping as shown. The mirror glass is edge beveled and is in excellent condition,
The mirror has the VM foundry mark on both the easel and on the rear top of the frame along with the item number: “14-3”. Perfectly sized for a spectacular vanity or dresser mirror.
Virginia Metalcrafters was in business from 1890 to 2006. It was one of the oldest foundries in the United States and produced many items for Colonial Williamsburg. Long time family heirloom .. measures a big 21 in x 17 .. the stand on the back extends 14 in .. stands 20 in tall standing on the table top .. smoke and pet free
